Dominique Thompson holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Growing up in the first generation, Dominique has first-hand knowledge of the impact of unresolved mental health issues and the challenges that many individuals face. Witnessing friends and family endure depression, negative self-perceptions, and more is what sparked her interest in the education of social work. Dominique’s experience includes providing therapy for children, adults, and older adults to utilize various mental skills, including visualization, mindfulness, re-framing, goal setting, and positive self-talk. She used Problem Solving Therapy (PST), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) daily with clients to aid coping mechanisms. Dominique strives to improve the lives of those in need and normalize mental health and wellness. She enjoys exercising, spending time with family, reading, and watching movies in her free time.
