Desirae Rosenthal holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University.
As a former Congressional Intern, Desirae has first-hand knowledge on the impact of high-stress environments on mental health wellness. Witnessing peers struggle with stress, anxiety, negative thinking and low self-esteem. This ignited her interest in promoting the importance of self-care and mental wellness.
Desirae’s experience includes conducting group therapy sessions with a Partial Hospitalization Program which focuses on Depression, Anxiety and substance abuse addiction. Desirae utilizes various techniques such as cognitive restructuring, developing positive self-talk, combating automatic negative thoughts and developing mindfulness skills. She uses techniques rooted in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in her daily interactions with her patients.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, collecting vinyl records and marathoning classic TV sitcoms.
