ABOUT Denielle Espejo

Denielle holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Northwestern University. As a minority in a diverse country, Denielle understands the multicultural challenges that Asian-American women face in society today. Discovering her strengths and purpose while overcoming obstacles of her own, Denielle developed a passion for helping clients build resiliency through uncovering the power of acceptance and self-awareness. Denielle’s experience includes providing counseling support for individuals that struggle with negative coping skills; such as addiction, co-occurring mental health issues; specifically anxiety and depression. Denielle has implemented strength-based theoretical orientations with Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients identify the connection between thoughts, emotions and behavioral patterns with Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT); and build upon self- awareness, coping skills and emotional regulation. Denielle is driven to normalize mental health by promoting healing, growth, and empowerment in others through holistic methods. In her free time, she enjoys being a mom, running, pilates/barre, and caring for her indoor plants.
