As a former competitive athlete, Cree has first-hand knowledge of the impact of unresolved mental health issues. Witnessing teammates endure depression, eating disorders, negative self-perceptions, and more is what sparked her interest in the education of mental and physical health. Cree's experience includes consulting with Division I NCAA collegiate athletes to utilize various mental skills, including visualization, re-framing, goal-setting, and positive self-talk. She also worked with adolescents in a residential treatment facility primarily for eating disorders with other mental health diagnoses. She used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) daily with clients to aid in coping mechanisms. An aspiring Sport Psychologist, Cree strives to utilize her education to promote health and wellness. In her free time, she enjoys watching sports, being in nature (hiking, animal watching), collecting houseplants, and is a total film fanatic!
Happiness is not out there for us to find. The reason that it's not out there is that it's inside us. - Sonja Lyubomirsky
