ABOUT Cory Roberts

Cory Roberts holds a doctoral degree in Psychology from Phillips Graduate University in Southern California and has a vast background in working with underserved, indigenous, LGBTQ+ and male body positivity populations. He has had first hand knowledge of how childhood trauma, left untreated, can impact mental wellness as an adult. Observing, counseling and coaching others with ADHD, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, negative self -perceptions, drug addiction, and many other behaviors and feelings has led him to continue on his journey to help others recover and restore their lives. Cory encourages the development of mental skills such as, visualization, nature specific mindfulness techniques, re-framing, goal setting, self-care, and positive self-talk. He uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy and various personality assessments to aid in coping mechanisms. Cory is very grounded, passionate and committed to empowering others, promoting mental wellness within each individual, eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health, and bridging the mental health treatment gap. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, cooking, gardening, road trips, arts & entertainment and being outdoors.
