Claire Brazil holds a Master of Health Sciences degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Claire’s vocational history has given her the opportunity to help clients from a wide variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Her experience includes mental health and career counseling. She has helped individuals deal with life changing disabilities; provided counseling services to welfare recipients while educating them on self advocacy and public resources; and also helped children and young adults with social and emotional issues during life transitions. Claire utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-(CBT) and Mindfulness techniques to aid her clients. She is motivated to help individuals make productive changes in their lives by providing clients with a skill set of coping techniques that can guide them well beyond counseling. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and pups, a good book, comedies and enlightening movies/shows, and cheering on the LSU Tigers.
