Cheryl Healy holds a Master’s degree in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University. As a native to an underserved rural area, Cheryl has first-hand knowledge of the impact on mental health issues resulting from the lack of available providers and services. Witnessing many of the population go un-treated or under-treated, influenced the direction of her education endeavors.
For over twenty years Cheryl’s experiences has varied from Emergency Crisis Shelters, Home/Community-Based Services, and Psychiatric Residential Treatment Centers. She specializes in Addiction & Recovery, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and uses Mindfulness techniques to assist clients in grounding exercises. Cheryl applies her education and experience in creating a non-judgmental space to address mental health issues.
In her free time, she enjoys shopping (retail therapy), gardening, spending family time with her husband and five children, and is an animal lover!
