Cay Williams has a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University with a background in trauma, eating disorders, anger management, and cognitive behavioral therapy. As someone who has struggled with mental health themself and witnessing others experience depression, trauma, anxiety, just to name a few; Cay worked on challenging the beliefs on mental health and bringing awareness to what mental health means and how to focus on the progress and not the difficulty. Cay's experience includes working with children, adolescents and adults on various mental health and life challenges by utilizing coping strategies, reframing, goal-setting, self-care and self-awareness. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, exposure therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and person-centered therapy with clients to aid in positive change and coping. Cay as a mental health professional has strived to focus on transformation over perfection in her own life as well as with others to help change their narrative and aid in encouraging the client in their new journey. In her free time, she enjoys writing music, poetry and engaging in self-care (exercise, sleep, cooking, mani and pedis, and various outdoor activities).
Change isn't just walking out of something worse, It's walking into something better. - Michael Todd
