Catherine West has a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, Fresno. She began her study of psychology in high school and quickly began working within the mental health field in a variety of capacities as her experience and education continued. Seeing the effectiveness of the techniques studied and science applied, she narrowed her focus into the area of clinical therapy. Catherine's experience includes working with individuals of a wide variety of backgrounds, including young adults in college for the first time, as well as other clients learning to cope with life's many transitions. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and has many years experience helping coordinate the care of her client's with prescribing doctors. Supporting an individual's development of a coping strategy toolkit has been her emphasis in every clinical setting she has entered. She truly believes mental health is as important as physical health and strives to make sessions feel meaningful, comfortable, and easy to understand.
When Catherine has free time, she enjoys watching movies, reading mysteries, and spending time with her family.
