Camellia Thompson holds a Master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern MS. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker. Camellia knows how mental health issues affect everyone as a former resident assistant. By speaking with residents struggling with issues from LGBTQ, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.
Camellia’s experiences include providing individual, group, and family counseling utilizing various techniques to help people cope with their mental health, including mindfulness, re-framing, goal setting, and psycho-education. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness to help her clients. Camellia strives to help others discover how strong they really are at their weakest moment. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading, shopping, and traveling in her free time.
