Brittany Washington is a Master Social Worker from Mississippi. As a former Army soldier, Brittany holds first-hand knowledge and personal experience of the impact of unresolved mental health struggles. Witnessing fellow soldiers struggle with trauma, depression, addiction, the loss of loved ones, and more is what sparked her interest in pursuing mental health advocacy. Brittany’s experience entails working with adolescents, young adults, and older adults who face anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. She uses Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) daily with clients to aid in emotional regulation. Brittany’s passion is to utilize her education to make mental health and wellness more accessible for those who cannot access traditional services. In her free time, she enjoys singing, trying new foods, and binge-watching movies.
