Ashley Beamon-Walton holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Brescia University, with an emphasis on mental health. Growing up in a household with a front-line view of the effects mental health and substance use has on an individual and others around, drew Ashley’s interest to the field of mental health. Through-out education and work experience, Ashley has experience with substance use, setting goals, detouring distorted thoughts, building self-worth, and alleviate some mental health symptoms. She often utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), with a person-centered approach. Ashley sets forth to utilize learned evidenced based practices to assist in the promotion and importance of mental health. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children, “do-it-yourself” projects, and adventurous traveling!
