Angelena Taylor holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology with a concentration on Applied Behavior Analysis from Wayne State University.
As a caregiver, Angelena has first-hand experience of the impact of stress on mental health. Additionally, losing her mother at a young age as well as a brother to depression, and battling her own bouts of depression while grieving is what sparked her interest in mental health and wellness.
Angelena’s experience includes working with youths and adults on the autism spectrum, as well as those managing ADHD, anxiety, and depression utilizing various behavior modification techniques as well as methods such as re-framing, goal-setting, and positive self-talk. She used Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and daily with clients to aid in coping mechanisms.
Angelena strives to utilize her education and life experiences to promote mental health and wellness.
In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, being in nature (taking walks outdoors and bike riding), playing with her cat, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
