ABOUT Andrea Echeverria

Andrea holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and is completing her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, while working and gaining first-hand experience in the field. As a hispanic woman and former professional athlete, Andrea understands the power of the mind and the importance of adapting and maintaining a healthy mindset, in addition to witnessing others battle anxiety, depression, and OCD, amongst other mental health issues. This is why Andrea is so passionate about mental health and applies her knowledge and experience in mental health counseling through a platform that is affordable and easily accessible to everyone across the nation, especially during the pandemic and the consequences it brought upon all of us. Andrea’s experience includes working with Division I and NCAA collegiate athletes, as well as with bilingual children and adults diagnosed with a wide range of mental health issues ranging from ADD to severe personality disorders. Andrea likes to apply individualized techniques, including visualization, meditation, thought reframing through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), goal-setting, and positive coping mechanisms throughout the counseling process. In her free time, she enjoys playing squash, exploring Maine, and sharing a snuggle with her dog, Coco.
